Partner Connection: Shmuel & Achuva

Shmuel Solomon

Beit Zayit, Israel

Dear “Partner” Shmuel,

We are really excited to introduce you to the family-run small business owner with which you were so generous in partnering up by helping to provide the tools they need to grow and to thrive. Both leading to prosperity, not only for their family, to the communities of Judea and Samaria as a whole. Because only through “Economic Zionism” can we effect real change on the ground.

A little about this connection: It starts with our relationship with Eytan Lavi,  a metal worker who has a workshop in Beit El who we knew for years. In recent months we were asked by him to help his daughter open up a tree nursery business in Esh Kodesh. A small and rural community within the Shilo Block area. A mountainous region with rich soil for grapes and olive trees evident by the beautiful vineyards and orchards surrounding both sides of the roads leading to the community.
The business owner you are helping is Achva Lavie and she lives in the town of Adam, just north of Jerusalem. She is opening up a nursery for plants and garden furniture that is handmade by none other than her own father. Beautiful, right?

She is very excited to be opening this new business called “Habustan”. As part of her plans adn in addition to selling trees, plants, and flowers, she will also create a little coffee corner for people who are in the area to come, rest, take in the views, have a hot cup of coffee, and sit surrounded by the plant life she is selling. Its her way of putting Esh Kodesh on the map. And of course, everyone is invited. Just not yet, they are still building the actual structure to house this business.

This is Achva Lavie:

In the coming weeks, we are going to be sitting with her and going into the details of what she needs and what we all could help with. So stay tuned.

Thank you again Shmuel and for taking part in the building and strengthening of Judea and Samaria though “Economic Zionism”.
